Licence agreement
DRAFT FOR REVIEW. Written as a starting point, not legal advice. Items in [brackets] need your details, and a lawyer should check the whole page before launch.
This agreement is between you and [company legal name] ("Hitz Bakery"). It covers every Hitz Bakery plugin, including trials and free plugins. By installing or using the software you accept it.
What you may do
- Use the plugin on up to three computers that you own or control.
- Use it in any music or audio you make, commercial or not. Everything you create with it is yours, with no royalties.
- Move an activation from one computer to another from your account.
What you may not do
- Share, rent, resell or sublicense the software or your licence.
- Copy it beyond what you need for the three activations and a backup.
- Reverse engineer it, remove its licence checks, or help anyone else do so, except where the law gives you that right.
One licence, one person
A licence is for one named person. A studio or school needs one licence for each person who uses the plugin. Write to hello@hitzbakery.com for volume pricing.
Ownership
The software is licensed, not sold. Hitz Bakery keeps all rights in it that this agreement does not give you.
Updates
Updates are free for the version you bought. We may charge for a new major version; your existing version keeps working.
Activation
The plugin contacts our licensing service to activate. It sends your licence details and an identifier for the computer. No audio or project data is sent.
Warranty
The software is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows. See the terms of sale for liability and the refund policy if it does not work for you.
Ending
The licence ends if you break this agreement or receive a refund. When it ends you must remove the software.
